Introducing: DJ Michael Bond

Tell us about an event where you went above & beyond.

I had a really cool couple a few years back that were getting married in Gruene. The groom was a “tough guy” and said he probably wouldn’t cry during the ceremony. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. The bride and I collaborated on a really cool processional entrance that is still my favorite to this day. She gave me permission to remix her processional song  so that I could play a really nice acapella part of the song first to build anticipation. Which it did. We coordinated the timing between the officiant asking everyone to rise at the perfect moment and the coordinator slowly opening the double doors right as the chorus started playing. I told the bride to look at her bouquet and count to 3 slowly when she heard the officiant.  When she got to 3 she was to slowly look up and lock eyes with the groom. It worked perfectly! You could see the officiant slide a handkerchief to the  groom who was trying to keep from ugly crying. His knees were wobbling. It was a beautiful moment!

Dance floor surprises!

I am always a fan of the Hora and when the families start putting everyone on the chairs. The looks in everyone’s eyes is priceless

Venue: The Ma Maison

You also can’t go wrong with 2 Co2 cannons blasting the crowd with cool air right when the bass drops on the song. Sends the crowd into a frenzy and the dance floor is electric!!

Favorite moment/stand out moment from your events

I have 2:

1. The processional - I love watching the couples see each other for the first time as they are approaching the altar.

Venue: HighPointe Estate

2. The anniversary dance -  we do it a really special way that gets everyone involved

What is your favorite part of weddings in general?

If I could only pick one it would be about 45 minutes into the Reception. Everyone is out on the floor dancing to the music with their hands in the air, waving glow sticks, and the uplights are just going off in sound mode. The energy can’t be beat!
